Gymnast Leotard Blue
In competitive gymnastics are you allowed to have unnatural hair colors?
My friend is a competitive gymnast and she's planning on putting blue in her hair ( to match her leotard ) so is it okay to have unnatural hair colors in competition? Thanks:) ps we live in Canada
It's not really 'professional' however there is no rule that specifically states that you can't have dye in your hair or even nail polish. Most judges take a tenth or 2 (per event, so almost a whole point for all 4 events) for something like 'artistry'. It's possible that it is different in Canada, but in the U.S., especially at a major competition, judges find it highly disrespectful and tend to judge much harder on girls that don't look professional. If she really wants to have blue in her hair, she can braid her hair and braid in ribbons, looks cute and judges shouldn't have an issue with it.
