Leotard Skating Dress
What is absolutely necessary for figure skating? I don't want to spend and waste money on unnecessary stuff.?
What exactly is necessary to figure skate? Do you really need the special outdoors an leotards and dresses? Embroidered jackets? Do you need the fancy skateguards with springs or can you do with reg ones? Do you need a zuca bag?
I think the bare essentials are a cloth, skates, clothes. (outfits necessary?) please let me know what you think?!! I don't want to spend and waste my money to get things that aren't really necessry. Any ideas??
Here our some essentials you need to have.
--Guards
--Soakers (soft guards)
--form fitting clothing
--something to transport your supplies to and fromthe rink (no need to buy a zuca, try an old suitcase)
--a positive attitude.
--a warm up jacket of sorts, one that is form fitting, and preferably w/ out a hood.
--band-aids
--mole skin
--tights
These are pretty much the essentials, there is no need to buy dresses or leotards unless you will be competing, and even then you should wait until you have your music picked out, because your dress needs to fit the attitude of your music.
All the others like embroidered jackets and such are not necessary just sheer luxury for figure skaters that put much time in at the rink, and are really serious about skating, (not saying you are not.) But there is no need to splurge on all brand name products at first, focus on whats important, practicing and taking care of your body so you can perform your best while on the ice.
