16 years old and think i have worn all my shoulder cartilage away?!?
I am a gymnast and cheerleader, and do competitive karate. Every time i go to do a backflip, or a punch, my shoulder grinds. I can get it out of it's socket, and every time i rotate my right shoulder back, it makes a grinding sound which you can hear from about 5 metres away!
Sometimes i get shooting pains all the way down to my hand from it, what could this be? Have i gradually won all the catilage away fom my gymnastics and punching motions in karate? 
Oh, my mum won't take me to the doctors. She told me i should give everything up as that is what the gp will say, and it will be a waste of a trip
